WAWETS is a product based business that creates bespoke waterproof wear in Ireland. The original concept came from ill-fitting agricultural dairy gown and the lack of waterproof wear designed with women in mind.
When coming up with a brand concept we worked closely with the WAWETS founder. They were still at the early stages of their business, and we encouraged them to think big and think of the future.
After a few brand strategy sessions we came up with our brand story. It was Missy, the founders dog. Missy is a sweet natured, Newfoundland dog and just like the WAWETS brand she is strong and her natural instincts are to protect. She has a double waterproof coat which protects and makes her resilient from our wet climate here in Ireland. Newfoundland’s are a working dog and are built to be protected from the harsh elements of nature. This is where we crafted the WAWETS tagline; ‘built to protect’.
The brand icon was then developed based on the Newfoundland dog, and we added an extra layer around the icon, to emulate the ‘built to protect’ tagline and the double water proof layer of Missy, and the WAWETS’ founding product.
